Here are just a few qualifications each applicant must meet in order to start the application process:
INCOME LIMITS BASED ON THE NUMBER OF OCCUPANTS*:
FOR A TAX CREDIT SLOT YOU MUST BE BELOW THESE INCOME LIMITS -
FOR A MARKET RATE SLOT YOU MUST BE ABOVE
1 Person $40,320 MAXIMUM OF 3 PEOPLE IN A ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT
2 People $46,080
3 People $51,840
4 People $57,540 MAXIMUM OF 4 PEOPLE IN A TWO BEDROOM APARTMENT
*If you have sold a home within the last 2 years, the income you received from the sale would be included in your income today.
STUDENT STATUS:
The Head of Household cannot be a full-time student. If you have been a full-time student 5 months in a calendar year, you are considered a full-time student for the entire year. The 5 months do not have to be consecutive.
CITIZENSHIP:
NOTICE TO APPLICANTS: Each applicant must be lawfully with the United States and be one of the following citizens:
( ) I am a citizen by birth, a naturalized citizen, or a national of the United States; or
( ) I have eligible immigration status and I am 62 years of age or older. (Attach proof of age); or
( ) I have eligible immigration status as checked below (see reverse side of this form of explanations). Attach INS document(s) evidencing eligible immigration status and signed verification consent form.

{ } Refugee, asylum, or conditional entry status under 207, 208, or 203 of
